WAXHAW, N.C. October 1, 2007 - - The town of Waxhaw will celebrate the arrival of fall with the 3rd annual Autumn Treasures outdoor antiques, arts and crafts show on Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 14 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. The 2-day event, Sponsored by Creative Plus, Mix 106.1 FM, The County Edge and The Waxhaw Business Association promises something for everyone in beautiful historic Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Holiday shopping begins early with a wide assortment of handmade jewelry, pottery, woodcrafts, unique art, crafts and Waxhaw’s famed antiques in an open market atmosphere. Enjoy live music at the band stand, food in the Festival of Food court, games and fun in the Kids Zone, a Fire Department open house and the 2nd annual fire and rotary pancake at the fire station on Saturday from 7:30 am until 10:30 am.
Jump on the moon bounces, get your face painted, paint a keepsake piece of pottery, enjoy games and view art entries from the Autumn Treasures Young Artist Contest from Divine Custom Frame Company. Kids Zone is sponsored by the Waxhaw Business Association.
Bandstand host for the weekend, DJ Paul Jeremenko, promises an exciting display of entertainment on Saturday with the talented Carolina Dance Company and the Waxhaw Scottish Dancers, bluegrass sounds from GrasStains, and the Jazzy sizzle from The Undercover Band. Sunday promises an exciting afternoon with Karaoke, dancing in the street, the sultry country sounds of Laura Petler and the contemporary Christian sounds of Galfriday.
