Spring into the Memorial Day Holiday on Saturday, May 27 from 10 am until 9 pm and Sunday, May 28 from 11 am  until 6 pm in historic downtown Waxhaw sponsored by Creative Plus, Bolt Brothers Cycles, Waxhaw Business Association, K-9Z-5 Dog Training and The County Edge!

 

Both days will bring exciting opportunities for everyone in the family to enjoy an open market of antiques, arts, crafts, wood art, collectables, band stand entertainment and a Kids Zone by KidzArt.

 

Saturday’s featured event will be located at the Town Band Stand with a Waxhaw Doggie Idol Contest. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Bring your favorite pooch and compete for ribbons in categories such as shortest/longest tail, cutest, ugliest dog, most talented and much more. Doggie Idol is sponsored by   K-9Z To 5 Dog Training benefiting S.A.F.E Animal Haven. The bandstand will host many activities throughout the day including the contemporary rock and Christian sounds of Threshold! at 7:00 p.m.

 

Sunday’s featured event, The Air Assault Stunt Team; a BMX Bike Stunt Show, sponsored by Bolt Brothers Cycles will host 30-40 minute shows which will display aerial acrobatics with high energy music, incorporating audience participation while sharing a passion for living a healthy and drug free lifestyle. Bandstand entertainment will include the hip/hop country sounds of Barnhill Station from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and, Charlotte’s very own, Shuffletown promises to deliver the very essence of country music to downtown Waxhaw from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
