Holiday Festival of Lights
Saturday December 2nd, 2017
You won’t want to miss this event as Waxhaw illuminates its over 100,000 lights. There will be live performances throughout the evening along with Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving to visit with the children. Waxhaw United Methodist Church will host a live nativity. Throughout the night, there will be carriage rides. This a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
Waxhaw Christmas Parade
Sunday December 10th, 2017
The Waxhaw Christmas Parade is held every yearin downtown Waxhaw. The parade features our areas school marching bands and floats by many of the local businesses and non-profits. This event is a great way to kick off celebrating the Christmas season!
Waxhaw Kaleidoscope Festival
The Waxhaw Kaleidoscope Festival is an event you and your family won’t want to miss. Held each year in in historic downtown Waxhaw, the festival features art and handcrafted items from local and regional artists. Throughout the weekend there will be several musicians playing. There will be plenty to keep the kids having fun at the Kids Zone. The festival will also have a good variety of food vendors.
Fourth of July Parade, Festivities & Fireworks
Each one of the areas biggest 4th of July parades take place in historic downtown Waxhaw. The day starts with the fourth of July parade. In the afternoon, the beach party begins with live music, food and fun for all. At sunset, watch the fireworks show set to patriotic music. A perfect day to celebrate America’s independence!
The annual Autumn Treasures Festival year is held in historic downtown Waxhaw. Each year there is a BBQ cookoff that draws teams from all over the area. The festival is also host to many local crafters displaying their artwork. There will be several local musicians playing at the festival this year. As always, the Kids Zone will be open for all the kids to enjoy throughout the weekend.
